Welcome to tes

Digital media

By combining our energy and environmental expertise with cutting-edge software and design skills, we provide attractive digital and visual media solutions, including graphics, websites, educational games, animations, multimedia presentations, films and advertisements.

Fortis Escrow, part of Fortis Bank Nederland, asked tes to develop a carbon-trading game for delegates at the 2009 Carbon Expo in Barcelona, Spain. Working to tight timescales, our new-media team created an entertaining and compelling product that simulates and disseminates information about the carbon-trading business.

Based on the attendees’ positive reactions, Fortis Escrow is now adapting the concept for internal and external awareness-raising initiatives. The game was shortlisted for a prestigious EDIE (Environmental Data Interactive Exchange) award.

Nexen wanted to document its Buzzard development, one of the largest North Sea oil and gas discoveries for over a decade. tes produced a lively multimedia documentary: work that involved tasks such as filming the construction of the three bridge-linked platforms at fabrication yards in Norway, the UK and Spain, and interviewing key personnel.

E.ON Ruhrgas engaged our services for a similar project after seeing the Nexen DVD.

Schlumberger developed a game-changing tool that could “see” ahead of the drill bit and wanted a communication initiative worthy of the invention.

When in operation, the tool is surrounded by thousands of metres of rock, so visualisation was key to its explanation. We produced a dramatic multimedia presentation combining film of Schlumberger customers praising the tool with a digital rendering of the tool in action. The presentation has been showcased on the company’s website homepage.

Matrix Thermal Systems’ novel technology helps companies achieve long-term environmental compliance by recovering oil from refinery sludge. One of the company’s key challenges has been to explain how its equipment works. We created a new brand identity, a website and a brochure for Matrix Thermal Systems and its parent company, Solerox. For the former, we also produced an animation detailing the thermal desorption process for website and exhibition use.

After realising that consumers lacked a definitive resource for the latest news and reviews about green cars, we created the award-winning Green-Car-Guide.com, the first UK-based website of its kind. The website has gained considerable media attention and has positioned the website’s creator, Paul Clarke, as one of the UK’s foremost authorities on environmentally conscious motoring.
