tes film up for national award
A documentary produced by tes and Fifth Pictures’ film-maker, Steve Holland, has been short-listed in the Climate Change Communication category of the International Visual Communications Association’s 2007 Clarion Awards.
“Our Footprint, Our Journey,” was made for Ashton Hayes Parish Council’s Going Carbon Neutral Project, in Cheshire, UK, and will appear alongside well-known environmental campaigns such as Proctor and Gamble’s “Ariel – Do a Good Turn,” and the National Trust’s “EXPOSED! Climate Change in Britain’s Backyard”.
“The film highlights several shocking predictions and statistics about the environmental impact of global warming,” said Steve. “It’s an honour to be nominated for an award, and hopefully this will draw attention to both the fantastic work being done in Ashton Hayes and to environmental awareness in general.”
The ceremony will be held at the BFI Southbank, London, UK on Friday 28th September 2007. Past winners have included Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth,” and “Billy Elliot The Musical.”
