tes-sponsored project up for international award
The tes-sponsored Ashton Hayes Going Carbon Neutral project has been short-listed in the 2007 EI Community Initiative category. These annual awards by the Energy Institute (EI) recognise individuals and organisations in the global energy industry that set new standards of excellence and innovation.
The other projects in the Community Initiative category, which awards new schemes that are of proven and sustainable benefit to the community, are Authentix’ Fuel Adulterant Marking in India and EDF Energy’s Sri Lankan Hospital Project.
Garry Charnock, project originator, said, “We’re delighted to be nominated for yet another award. The EI has a membership of almost 12,000 individuals and 300 companies across 100 countries, and its recognition is another endorsement for an initiative that has received worldwide media coverage.”
The winners of the 2007 EI awards will be announced at a ceremony in London, UK, in November.
