Most of our clients come from the energy industry and the environmental sectors. This is why.
Beginning with oil and gas
Our first contract, more than 20 years ago, was to write and produce the Middle East and Asia Reservoir Review for Schlumberger Oilfield Services – something we still do today. It set the tone for tes, which has been closely linked to oil and gas ever since. Over time, we have brought in writers, former scientists and engineers from some of the industry’s best-known names: Shell, BP, Britoil, Brown & Root and, indeed, Schlumberger.
Moving into the environment
tes added the RSK Group plc to its client list in 2005, and subsequently combined forces with this powerful environmental consultancy. Soon afterwards, we were joined by Promote, which was headed by Paul Clarke, who has been heavily involved in environmental branding and communication for more than 18 years. Possessing a firm grasp of sustainable development issues, alternative fuels and the low-carbon economy, he has introduced tes to interesting and important clients such as ScottishPower Renewables, the National Trust and Groundwork.
Environmental communication requires particularly careful thought and planning; matching the overall tone and style to the target audience is key to inspiring and engaging people. It is an exciting area in which to work – and a rapidly growing one for tes.
